Sioux Falls, SD--After several hours of continuous rainfall, Tuesday night's Canaries game against the Winnipeg Goldeyes has been postponed. The two teams will make up the game on Wednesday night, with a pair of seven inning games beginning at 5:00PM with the second game beginning approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. Anyone with a ticket for Tuesday's game can exchange it for either game on Wednesday night. Gates will open at 4:00pm for the first game.
Wednesday night is also "Web Wednesday" at the ballpark. be sure to follow us on Facebookand Twitter for special offers during the game. In addition, there will be several concession specials during game two.
Kyle Vazquez (2-1, 318 ERA) will pitch in game one against Winnipeg's Nick Hernandez (0-0, 7.90 ERA), while Joe Bircher (0-2, 3.86 ERA) is scheduled to pitch in game two for the Birds'.
The Canaries and Goldeyes will wrap up their four game series on Thursday, May 5th, with pre-game tailgating beginning at 5:30 PM outside the main entrance. Thursday night is also Thursty Thursday at the Birdcage, with $1 beers (12oz.) from gates opening until first pitch; $2.50 after first pitch.
