Roger Brooks is a member of the Brandon City Council. He says officials will consider a ban on lawn watering at Monday night's meeting. While the city has been under odd/even restrictions for a while, it's not helping to ease the strain on water facilities. Brooks says action is needed to prevent a much larger problem.
"We'd run out of water and we wouldn't have water to fight fires or anything else. They would have the drinking water. They wouldn't have water for their homes. That's what it comes down to," Brooks said.
The city council is meeting Monday night at 6 p.m.
