You can help them get there by visiting a Culver's in South Dakota, northwest Iowa or southwest Minnesota this Tuesday. The restaurant chain will donate 10-percent of the day's sales to Midwest Honor Flight. Aaron Van Beek with Midwest Honor Flight says 80 vets are signed up for Mission Two in May. There are more than 350 others on a waiting list.
"Having an opportunity like this regionally to not only raise some funds but also promote the Honor Flight, the mission and what we do, it's truly something that we're grateful for that Culver's regionally has been able to do for us," Van Beek said.
It takes $115,000 to make each Honor Flight
possible. On top of Mission Two in May, Mission Three is being organized for this September.
