PSA Shows Danger Of Texting While Driving

Sioux Falls, SD

Texting while driving is against the law across South Dakota but it is a habit some people find hard to break.

With many schools starting soon, now is a good time to talk to your teenagers to make sure they put the phone down while behind the wheel on the way to class.

Texting while driving is a secondary offense in South Dakota, which means you have to be pulled over for something else.  If you are caught texting and driving, the fine is $100.

A public service announcement from our sister station WJBF in Augusta, Georgia, illustrates the dangers of texting while driving.  Click the play button to watch the ad that's getting a powerful reaction from viewers.
