Weather Analysis 10-18-12

Winds will slowly die down tonight, but eastern KELOLAND will still have speeds of 20-35 mph.  Rain will also slowly end in eastern SD, but MN and IA will have lingering showers in the morning.  Any clouds will slowly decrease as the day goes on, but temps will remain cool as highs are only in the low 50s in the east (clouds may keep MN and IA in the 40s), low 60s in the west.

Saturday will be warm with highs in the 60s.  As a cold front moves through on Sunday, compressional warming may help FSD to 70°. 

A little cool to start next week, but an approaching storm system will help temps warm as south winds increase.  Right now, I have a slight chance for rain on Thursday, but I could easily see this system go north leaving KELOLAND dry.  GFS for Thursday is below…
