Volunteers of America has opened a center in Sioux Falls to help homeless veterans.
The Veteran's Outreach Center on 14th Street and Cliff Avenue is a place where homeless veterans and their families can wash clothes, take a shower or use a computer to look for jobs or housing.
It's estimated that there are 300 homeless veterans in the Sioux Falls area.
"We're reaching out to the community to identify those guys and give them an opportunity to come in and talk to somebody about what their needs are, so we can help get them back in the community and help reduce the homeless numbers here," Chris Nelson with Volunteers of America said.
The center will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
