A fierce line of tornados whipped across Minnesota Thursday night leaving behind a path of death and destruction.
The hardest hit areas appear to be in the northwestern part of the state east of Fargo.
Two people are dead because of the twisters. One woman died, and her husband was injured, after a tornado destroyed their home in the small northwest town of Almora, MN. Another man died when a twister hit gas station in Mentor, MN
A tornado also hit Wadena, wiping out a number of buildings in the city. There were reports of so many injuries there that MeritCare Hospital out of Fargo called Sanford in Sioux Falls for help. Sanford officials tell KELOLAND News that they did send a plane to Wadena Thursday night with medical personnel to help with all the injuries.
