Sunday Boredom Busters

Today's your chance to show off your pet pooch and win some awards.
Registration for Woofstock is at one o'clock at Spencer Dog Park off Cliff Avenue.
The free dog festival includes live entertainment and contests for longest tail, best trick and most unique-looking.
The competitions begin at two, followed by the awards presentation at 2:45.

Enjoy a day of frontier fun at the Spirit of the West Festival.
The celebration of our western heritage begins at nine this morning at 6200 North Kiwanis.
It's ten-dollars for adults, eight-dollars for seniors, free for kids under 12.

Sioux Falls Lutheran School is hosting its annual Pancake Brunch and Open House.
The brunch begins at 10:30 am with the open house starting at 11 am.
A free will offering will be taken.
The school is located on West 37th Street, just off Minnesota Avenue.

The Islamic Center of Sioux Falls is hosting a special prayer service today celebrating the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
The prayer service will be held at the Sioux Empire Fairgrounds beginning at nine this morning.

More than 70 homes are on display for this final weekend of the Fall Parade of Homes.
Tours will be held from one to five today and from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm Monday.
The homes are located in Sioux Falls, Harrisburg, Brandon and Tea.
The parade is free.

Country Apple Orchard is hosting Apple Fest 2009.
Enjoy hayrides and kids games as you pick your own apples straight from the tree.
The free festival gets underway at noon.
