Sioux Falls, SD
Areas of clouds and flurries continue to move south this morning across eastern KELOLAND. Temperatures are a little warmer and this will be part of the pattern ahead the next few days. Highs this afternoon will be in the lower to middle 20s in the east, with the coldest temperatures over the deepest snow cover north of Sioux Falls. Rapid City will be a little warmer in the mid 30s with partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows tonight will be warmest over snow-free areas in the south and west. Aberdeen will fall to 9 by tomorrow morning. Everyone will see warmer weather tomorrow, with melting snow likely in Sioux Falls with highs returning to the mid to upper 30s. 40s will be likely in the south and west.
The next system to watch will be tracking mainly south of KELOLAND by Saturday. We’ll keep and eye on it for our southern viewers near the Nebraska border into NW IA. The European model has been tracking this system farther north affecting the Sioux Falls area by the start of the weekend with some accumulating snowfall. We’ll keep an eye on the trends.
