Storm Center Update - Saturday AM

Snow will be likely for a big chunk of KELOLAND today. We expect the heaviest of the snow from NW SD through the hills into Central SD around Pierre and down through the Missouri River Valley near Yankton. This leaves Aberdeen, Sioux Falls and Brookings out of the heaviest snows. We will likely see some snow in these areas but accumulation will be much less. In the snowy area previously mentioned we will look for 3-5 inches in the northwest with about 2-4 inches running through Pierre into the Missouri River Valley in the southeast. Parts of the Black Hills will see more snow with 6-10 inches likely. Winds are also expected to pick up so we will likely see some blowing snow in these areas as well.

Elsewhere it will be another cold day with falling temperatures likely. Many areas will see temperatures stay pretty steady through the day today with falling temperatures this afternoon.

We will see a bit of a warm up on Sunday and into next week. Slight chances of snow will stick around early with dryer weather possible for the end of the week.
