Storm Center Update - Saturday AM

An active forecast pattern is setting up for us as we move into a holiday week. Temperatures will be much cooler today as clouds move in from the south and west. Those clouds will eventually produce some drizzle and freezing drizzle for the overnight hours into Sunday. The greatest chance for drizzle looks to be across eastern South Dakota. Depending on where the drizzle sets up and the ground temperatures we could have some very slick spots by Sunday morning. We expect temperatures to warm on Sunday leaving us with patchy drizzle and just wet roads.

Greater chances of snow arrive with reinforcing shots of cold air on Monday and Wednesday. Monday’s system looks to take a greater chance of snow to the north while Wednesday’s system will cover a broader area. If you have travel plans this week keep a close eye on the weather! The end of the week looks drier but very cold with highs in the teens and 20s.
