South Dakota "A" All-State Girls Basketball Team

(Undated-AP) -- Jamy Eckstaine and Courtney Grimsrud led their teams to the state Class A state championship game. Now the players have earns spots on the Class A All-State girls' basketball team named by the South Dakota Sportswriters Association. Eckstaine is from Tri-Valley and Grimsrud is from Sisseton. Tri-Valley beat Sisseton 41-28 for the title. Others named to the first team are Shannon Daly of Groton, Brittnee of Parkston and Ashley Bjorkman of Vermillion. First Team Jamy Eckstaine, Tri-Valley, 5-foot-9 senior, 10.9 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.7 apg, 3.2 spg. Courtney Grimsrud, Sisseton, 6-foot-2 junior, 19.6 ppg, 12.3 rpg, 2 apg, 2.5 spg. Shannon Daly, Groton, 5-foot-4 senior, 22 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 5 apg, 5 spg. Brittnee Powell, Parkston, 5-foot-8 senior, 17.2 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3 spg.
