The man who admitted to killing a Sioux Falls woman this weekend says he'd kill and kill again until he murders the President.
In a jailhouse interview, James McVay says he has no regrets about killing 75-year-old Maybelle Schein Saturday.
Officials say he then stole her car and drove to Madison, Wisconsin, where he was arrested and is now in jail awaiting extradition back to South Dakota where he'll face murder charges.
Local television station WKOW talked with the 41-year-old who says Schein was collateral damage. Reporter:
Do you have any regrets that you took this well-respected, beloved woman's life in South Dakota? McVay:
No, not in the least. Reporter:
No regret? McVay:
None. In fact, I'd do it again and again and again if you give me the opportunity; anything to take care of my mission.
McVay, who was released from the South Dakota State Penitentiary just last week, fixated on killing the President while behind bars.
"They placed me in solitary confinement, and while I was there, I sat with nothing but a radio and my own hallucination," McVay said.
And he says that's when he came up with the plan to murder Obama because of his economic policies.
"I started listening to talk radio. I listened to Sean Hannity, the Rush Limbaugh," McVay said.
McVay says he planned to kill the president while he was golfing.
