The South Dakota State University Innovation Campus is looking for a new executive director.
Teresa McKnight announced her resignation effective Oct. 31. She's led the initiative since December 2006, but recently accepted the position of executive director of the Montana State University Research Park in Bozeman, Mont.
The SDSU Innovation Campus opened in 2008 as South Dakota's first research park, fostering collaboration and partnerships between the university, business, industry and government. The
facilities include workspace and support services for students, faculty, scientists, entrepreneurs, capital providers, managers and leaders to conduct research and commercialize economic activity.
The campus includes a multi-tenant 28,000-square-foot facility that serves as an incubator for new companies and entrepreneurs.
SDSU Growth Partnership Chair Jay Bender said McKnight's expertise and passion gave the initiative a great start.
