Saturday Boredom Busters

Get out and walk for multiple sclerosis.
The Sioux Falls "Walk MS" event begins at 10:30 this morning, at the University of Sioux Falls Stewart Center.
There's no admission fee, but organizers are taking donations. 

Bring the kids to a family fun carnival day, for a little girl named Katelyn.
The 17-month-old has had many medical treatments since birth, and friends and family are hosting this fundraiser.
Events run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at St. Michael's School Gym in Sioux Falls. 

Health screenings are offered today in Whitewood at the Health and Safety Fair.
Booths for skin cancer detection, breast cancer detection, blood pressure, and other conditions will open at 10 o'clock this morning, at the Whitewood Elementary School Gym. 

They're thinking spring in Watertown today, at the community's Spring Fling event just for women.
See the latest in home decor, cooking techniques, and health and beauty.
It'll be held at the County Fair Banquet Hall in Watertown, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is free. 

The Sioux Falls Humane Society is training new volunteers today.
You can be a dog-walker or a cat-cuddler, and all you have to do is show up at the Humane Society today beginning at 10 a.m., no registration required.

Wal-Mart is hosting a cake decorating contest to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network.
Eleven area cake decorators will demonstrate their skills before a panel of judges.
It's in the Macy's Wing of the Empire Mall starting at 1 p.m.
You can buy raffle tickets to win a cake, and you can try your hand at decorating a cup cake.
