The number of Sanford Health World Clinics just keeps growing. Now children in Klamath Falls, Oregon, will have access to specialized care.
Thursday, ground was broken for the new Castle of Care. The 9,000 square foot Children's Clinic will open in 2012. Officials with the Health System say their hope is to reach kids who otherwise would have had to go without medical care. The clinic will serve an area of 60,000 people, including more than 16,000 children.
The Klamath Falls clinic is one of five Children's Clinics announced by Sanford Health as part of four initiatives outlined after Denny Sanford's $400 million gift.
The first Sanford Children's Clinic opened in Duncan, Oklahoma last summer, a clinic in Belize in under construction and one in California will open next year. Sanford Health also recently announced plans to build a clinic in Dublin, Ireland.
