Rock Rapids, IA
The people of Rock Rapids have been receiving a lot of support the last few days.
One woman decided to just come out and do what she could today. She brought a group to the flood ravaged town to hand out muffins and water. They also helped people move things from their flooded homes.
She says just giving someone a hug and word of encouragement is a big part of the road to recovery.
"Just to love people. To be hands and feet for Jesus. Be as He wants me to be. Whatever that might be. I don't have no label. I just want to share His love for people and give them hope. Because when they get in this kind of situation, it gets hopeless," said volunteer, Judy De Kam.
De Kam says she hopes others will join her in supporting the storm damage victims.
