Throughout history, past pandemics have killed millions of people in a relatively short time. These diseases have included: Bubonic plague, Ebola virus and Influenza, just to name a few. Today, health experts worldwide are looking into new threats that could make those past pandemics pale in comparison. Among the potential threats is the Avian, or bird flu, which you've probably heard a lot about lately.
But even if the next pandemic isn't bird flu, officials say there will certainly be some new threat to our health at some point in the not-so-distant future. Which is why we should all be asking ourselves: Are We Ready?
