More Counterfeit $100s In Aberdeen

aberdeen, sd

Two more counterfeit $100 bills have turned up in Aberdeen, one at a bank and another at a shopping center.
Police believe they are connected to an ongoing counterfeiting case that has resulted in criminal charges against three people from Nigeria.

Detective Sgt. Eric Duven says authorities believe the fake money has been in circulation for more than a month and there likely are more bogus bills in circulation.

Police say the counterfeit bills are of high quality and hard to distinguish from the real thing.
