rapid city, sd

South Dakota Corrections officials say a missing state prison inmate was found quickly on Thursday morning.

Authorities say Zane Gabriel left the minimum-security unit in Rapid City to go to a work release job and never showed up. He was apprehended a short time later at a Rapid City residence.

The 46-year-old Gabriel is serving a three-year sentence for drunken driving in Meade County.
