Man Sentenced For Fatal House Crash

The driver responsible for a deadly crash into a house in Aberdeen in October has been sentenced to five years in prison.

27-year-old John Newling of Highmore had pled guilty to manslaughter and could have gotten up to ten years.

Authorities say Newling was going about 70 miles an hour when he lost control and crashed into the house... killing his passenger Samuel Reisdorff, also of Highmore.

Tests showed that Newling had been drinking but was not legally drunk.

Newling must also pay for damages to the house.
