A Sioux Falls jury has found a 40-year-old Iowa man guilty of commercial sex trafficking.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says the federal jury convicted Daron Jungers, of Sioux City, Iowa, of arranging to purchase sex with an 11-year-old girl in Sioux Falls through an online advertisement posted by an undercover police officer.
The advertisement was part of "Operation Crossing Guard," an online undercover operation conducted by The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the South Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Jungers was arrested after he arrived at the undercover location.
Jungers faces at least 15 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment
