Circuit Court Judge A.P. "Pete" Fuller spoke before the South Dakota Supreme Court Thursday during a hearing to decide whether to remove him from the bench.
A six-month investigation by the Judicial Qualifications Commission found Fuller had violated the Code of Judicial Conduct by disrespecting court personnel, lawyers and people involved in cases.
The judge spoke briefly to the justices during the hour-long hearing and said he's "totally remorseful for what he's done," and has sought help to learn skills to change. He says he's even written apologies to those he's hurt.
Fuller was suspended with pay in 2010 and has argued he should not be removed from the bench for his actions. Click on the video player below to watch the entire hearing.
