You may recognize this Vikings staffer, Matt Haron is a former KELOLAND Sports Intern, but now the Washington High School grad has taken his talents to Minneapolis and most recently Mankato.
"You got to make sure you make the coaches and players happy," Matt Haron said.
Haron earned a spot with the Vikings Video Department where he shoots practice film and scout footage for the team, not unlike what he did for Huskers football during his time at the University of Nebraska.
"Coaches obviously, they're in meetings looking at this stuff all the time and players are always looking at it so it's important to make sure you got the shot right," Haron said.
The job has been a dream so far for Haron who grew up an avid Vikings fan. Instead of paying for tickets to see his favorite team this year, he'll get paid to work each gameday.
"It's definitely surreal working for them. I know I've been to training camp a couple of times just as an observer or last year with KELO. It's different seeing the insides of it and seeing how pro football works," Haron said.
Haron hopes to do something similar once his internship ends, depending on what opportunities open up. But for now, he likes where he's at.
"I'm enjoying it a lot. The days are long but they're so busy that we're always doing stuff it's never a down time," Haron said.
