Dakota Wesleyan Launching Large Building Project

mitchell, sd

Dakota Wesleyan University this week is beginning work on an $11.5 million health science center.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the four-story, 48,000-square-foot Glenda K. Corrigan Health Sciences Center is set Friday at the Mitchell school.

The project will be done with the help of two $5 million donations, from alumni Paul and Donna Starr Christen of Huron and Glenda and Fritz Corrigan of Edina, Minn.

University officials say it's the largest building project at the school since the McGovern Library, which was dedicated in 2006. It will house various labs and classrooms as well as faculty offices.
