Chris Dixon Re-Signs With Storm

The reigning IFL MVP is staying put. On Tuesday, Sioux Falls Storm quarterback Chris Dixon re-signed with the defending champions.

"After spending a few months here in the off-season I have realized how great of a city Sioux Falls is and how loyal and great people our fans are, which has truly made me realize that this is the best place for me and my family to be. I love the direction the Storm is headed and I want to be a part of the continuance of excellence we have displayed on the field," Dixon said in a text this afternoon.

Dixon, along with the rest of the Storm roster minus two, was released back in July while the franchise was deciding whether or not to stick with the Indoor Football League. Storm owner Todd Tryon chose to continue with the IFL last month. Shortly after, head coach Kurtiss Riggs signed a new two-year contract.

As for Dixon, he led the Storm to a perfect season in 2012 setting IFL records in pass efficiency (133.3), completion percentage (74) and passing yards (3,321) in the regular season. In addition, Dixon led the IFL in touchdown passes with 67.
