The Lewis and Clark water board is meeting today to decide the fate of their over budget proposed water treatment facility.
The original budget was set at 108 million dollars, but the lowest bid came in at 142 million dollars.
These are the options the board members will be weighing; they can accept the bid at this price and legally scale back five percent of the cost. Their other options are to reject this bid and redesign their plans to cut costs or try to plan a smaller treatment facility.
Board members will meet at 1:00 this afternoon to make their decision. We will have a full report on KELOLAND.com and News later today.
