An autopsy shows that a car crash resulting from an alleged driving stunt was the primary cause of death for a 101-year-old Garretson nursing home resident but that Mildred Ellefson's age also was a factor.
Prosecutors are studying the report as they decide whether to file additional charges against the driver of the car, 18-year-old Clarissa Kutil. She already has been cited for careless driving and driving without a license in the June 20 incident.
Authorities say Kutil was trying to play a trick on two men sitting on the car's trunk by revving the engine, but she had mistakenly put the car in reverse instead of neutral. The vehicle slammed through a wall and pinned Ellefson between the wall and a bed. She died two days later.
A telephone listing could not immediately be found for Kutil.
