sioux falls, sd

Two Augustana College graduates were teaching in Japan in March when the 8.9 magnitude earthquake sent a massive tsunami across the coast that killed thousands of people.

Kimberly Johnson of Sioux Falls and Miriam Rollason of Isabel, South Dakota, are teaching English in separate cities through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program.

They'll both participate in a discussion Monday night at Augustana to share their experiences following the earthquake, teaching abroad and the Japanese culture.

The event is free and the public is invited.

When: Monday, May 2, 6:00 p.m.
Where: Augustana Morrison Commons
