ATM Stolen In Tea

Authorities in Tea are searching for a suspect in the theft of an ATM.

Tea police say as much as $30,000 was in the ATM taken early Monday morning.

Just after midnight, authorities were called to the Service First Federal Credit union in Tea. A large man wearing a ski mask and black clothes disconnected the wiring of the ATM from the wall, and somehow hauled it away, according to police.

Police believe the suspect may have had experience with stealing ATMs in the past.

"Our response time was about 30 seconds from when we got the call, so it was definitely quick manuevering," Curtis Rabenberg with the Tea Police said.

The suspect was caught on surveillance camera, but not for very long.

Authorities will be looking at other surveillance camera footage to try to piece together if the suspect had help in the theft.
