Accessory In Rapid City Shooting Sentenced

Rapid City, SD

A Rapid City man who admitted hiding a gun used in a shooting at a basketball tournament has been sentenced to 70 days in jail and five years of probation.

Twenty-year-old Joel Little pleaded guilty in March to a charge of accessory to aggravated assault under a plea agreement with prosecutors.

He initially had been charged with being an accessory to attempted murder in the shooting of 20-year-old Shane Bordeaux.

Another man is accused of shooting and critically injuring Bordeaux at the Lakota Nation Invitational last December. Trial for Simon Torres is set to begin June 1.
