Woman Reports Stolen Car After Seeing Crash On News

Sioux Falls, SD

A homeless Sioux Falls man will be in court for leading police on two chases Wednesday night.

Officers tried to pick up 30-year-old James Castaneda for speeding, but he didn't pull the car over.  Police say the car he was driving ran a stop sign, hit a few cars and flipped near the 10th Street McDonalds.  

He then ran off to Drake Springs pool.  Officers eventually caught up to him.

He faces many charges including driving a stolen car.  Turns out a woman watching the news Wednesday night recognized her car and called police to report it stolen.
