But she wasn't able to give away the results -- until now. Foodies were glued to their TV's Thursday evening, to see Sanaa in the national spotlight.
The crowd showed their support for the chef, including cupcakes with her face on it. The crowd starting filling in at 7:30, an hour and a half before the show started. Supporters of Sanaa aren't surprised with the turnout.
"Just goes to show the support that Sanaa has in the area," Paul Blotz said.
"She's worked hard and she knows so much and she has a chance to win," Annie Blotz said.
Her supporters are happy to see a local chef shining on the biggest stage.
"I grew up in California, when I say I'm from South Dakota, people don't know what that is so to be able to see something like this and some of the richness and some of the cultural diversity that we are really developing in Sioux Falls, it's really a nice thing for us on the national stage," Sue Hegland said.
Sanaa made it to the final round, but she couldn't beat Bobby Flay. The crowd booed the results, but the local chef still received a standing ovation after the show wrapped up.
