Type-One Incident Team Takes Over Myrtle Fire

There's smoke in the Hills and much of it's from the Myrtle Fire burning between Pringle and Wind Cave National Park.

On Saturday morning, a Type-One Incident Management Team has been brought in to assume command of the fire.  The reason is because the team has been trained specifically on how to combat more volatile and potentially destructive fires.

At this point, hundreds of homes have been evacuated in the area of the Myrtle Fire. That's also prompted the American Red Cross to set up two emergency shelters, one in Custer and one in Hot Springs.

The fire has also closed Wind Cave National Park.
