Teenagers Cited For Drinking At Police Officer's Home

huron, sd

Beadle County Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for an Alpena teenager for underage drinking following a gathering at a Huron Police Officer's home last month.

Authorities were called to the home of Captain Dan Marotteck on August 15. Beadle County State's Attorney Michael Moore says two teenagers were drinking. Zackary Cranston, 18, was cited for underage consumption at the scene. Mitchell Younie, 19, of Alpena, ran from officers. He now faces an arrest warrant on underage consumption charges.

No other teenagers were cited for drinking during the arrest.

Moore says Marotteck was home at the time, but was in a back shed on the property.  Beadle County authorities are not pursuing any charges against Marotteck.
