Taylor Cournoyer Pleads Guilty To Charges

A Wagner man charged following the death of a two-year-old girl has pleaded guilty to charges filed in connection with the case.

In July, Taylor and Laurie Cournoyer were accused of leaving the body of RieLee Lovell in a closet for nearly two days before reporting the death.  They both admitted to using meth and marijuana and didn't remember the last time they saw the child alive.

On Wednesday, 21-year-old Taylor Cournoyer entered a guilty plea to one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.  He also pleaded guilty to keeping a place for use or sale of controlled substances and admitted to being a Habitual Offender.  He is scheduled to be sentenced at the end of November.

Charges against 28-year-old Laurie Cournoyer are still pending.  She's charged with one count of abuse or cruelty to a minor and failure to notify law enforcement of death of child.
