An Eagle Butte man is being sentenced for shooting two police officers during a standoff last fall at a Pierre mobile home.
Jason Garreau last month pleaded guilty in state court to one count of attempted first-degree murder. He could face up to 25 years in prison.
Authorities allege Garreau held officers at bay for almost nine hours Oct. 31 and injured two city police officers in an exchange of gunfire. Neither injury was considered serious.
Garreau also has pleaded guilty to federal charges stemming from the incident and is to be sentenced Tuesday. Several charges were dismissed, including some related to a shootout in Hyde County in which Garreau's cousin was killed.
