Sunday Boredom Busters, February 25th

The Sioux Empire Home Show wraps up today at the Sioux Falls Convention Center and Arena.   You can stop by 250 home-related exhibits from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Admission is $7, free for kids 12 and under. There will also be door prizes, giveaways and Home Show discounts. 
  
It's Women's Quarterfinals action at the NSIC Basketball Tournament at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.  Winona State takes on Northern State at noon.  Concordia-St. Paul plays Wayne State at 2:30 p.m.  Minnesota State takes on Augustana at 5:30 p.m.  University of Sioux Falls plays MSU Moorhead at 8 p.m.  

Now that the USA men's team has captureed Olympic gold in curling, people of all ages can learn the basics of the sport during a Try Curling event at the SCHEELS IcePlex in Sioux Falls.  The session, hosted by the group Sioux Falls Curling, goes from 9-11 a.m.  The cost is $15.  You're asked to carry-in clean tennis shoes to wear on the ice.  

It's the final Outlaw Ice Races of the winter.   Motorcycles and ATV's will race on Brant Lake in Chester, SD starting at noon.  Registration at the Shipwreck Bar & Grill starts at 10 a.m.  Practice begins at 11 a.m.    

The Fairgrounds RV Sale features more than 100 motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and fold downs under one roof in the the Expo Building of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  Hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  
Billion Toyota is hosting a Family Fun February Event from 1-5 p.m.  There wil be complimentary food and beverages, music by kids entertainmer Phil Baker, face-painting, inflatables and balloon artists.  Billion Toyota is located at 4101 W. 12th Street.  
  
Carolan Rental in Harrisburg is hosting an Open Jump from 1-6 p.m.  The $8 admission includes unlimited play on kids inflatables.  

The University of Sioux Falls Theatre Department presents Necessary Targets, a drama based upon women who survived the civil war in the former Yugoslavia.   The performance is at 2  p.m. in the Jeschke Fine Arts Center.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for students.  

Films playing at the Wells Fargo CineDome in the Washington Pavilion include Journey to Space, Mysteries of China and Amazon Adventure.
