Sunday Boredom Busters

RibFest becomes KidzFest today.  There's free admission to the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Kids can enjoy clowns, magic, juggling, balloon animals and inflatables.  Rib vendors will be competing for the People's Choice and Critic's Choice awards.

Crooks Community Days wrap up with a breakfast at 8 a.m.; a worship service at 10 a.m. and rodeo at 1:30 p.m.

Harrisburg United Methodist Church is hosting an old-fashioned Car Hop from 5-7 p.m.  Classic cars will be on display and you can order burgers, hot dogs and homemade ice cream served by car hops on roller skates.  Proceeds will benefit the church youth group.  Harrisburg United Methodist is located at 204 Grand Avenue.

Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy live music and wine at Renner's Strawbale Winery.  Sangria Sunday goes from 1-4 p.m.  Admission is $5 a carload.  Sangria Sundays run every Sunday through September.

It's Pool Appreciation Night at Terrace Park Family Aquatics Center in Sioux Falls.  Swimmers can enjoy free admission from 6:30 to 9 p.m.  Terrace Park is located at Madison and Menlo.

Connolly Irish Dance presents Keepin' it Reel at 5 p.m at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $3 for children.

Films playing at the Wells Fargo CineDome at the Washington Pavilion include Monkey Kingdom, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Tornado Alley and living in the Age of Airplanes.

New Hollywood releases playing at a theater near you include Aloha and San Andreas, both rated PG-13.

Open skating goes from 1:30 to 3:30  p.m. at the SCHEELS IcePlex.  That's followed by a hockey Stick-n-Puck from 5 to 6:30  p.m.  The IcePlex is located at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls.
