South Dakota Activates Emergency Operations Center

In response to all the flooding, South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has declared a state of emergency and opened the State Emergency Operations Center.

An Incident Management Assistance Team has also been mobilized to help local officials with their response to the storm damage.

Earlier Tuesday, Daugaard toured some of the damage in Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties as well as Elk Point.
