Sioux Falls Police: Motorcyclist Hurt In Crash; Speed May Be Factor

Sioux Falls, SD

A motorcyclist was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a three-vehicle crash Sunday night.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens with Sioux Falls Police said a motorcycle was traveling west at around 8 p.m. along 41st Street near Shirley Avenue. He said a 2016 GMC Canyon pickup was headed east and tried to make a turn when the two vehicles collided. The motorcycle skidded and crashed into another vehicle.

The street was closed temporarily after the motorcyclist was transported for medical attention. Clemens said his condition is unknown as of Monday morning.

No charges have been filed, but speed may have played a factor in the crash. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
