The South Dakota Highway Patrol will receive about $215,000 from the state's Drug Control Fund to assist in drug-control operations.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says the money will be used to buy weapons and other equipment for the patrol.
The drug control fund consists of money seized during drug arrests and investigations. Funds also are procured through the sale of drug-related assets, such as vehicles, televisions and appliances.
Jackley says the patrol contributes substantially to the drug-control fund.
