One of two men charged in a staged armed robbery of a Huron convenience store has changed his plea to guilty.
Performance Radio of Huron reports that 27-year-old Sidney Malone Jr. pleaded guilty to grand theft. He faces up to five years in prison.
Malone and 26-year old Donnell Williams are accused of setting up a fake armed robbery at the store where both men worked.
Williams is accused of bringing a handgun into the store and pointing it at Malone on Jan. 29.
Malone says he took more than 3,100 dollars. Malone is currently out of jail on bond and a sentencing date has not been set.
A trial for Williams is slated on June 26.
