Saturday Boredom Busters, February 24th

The Sioux Empire Home Show features 250 exhibits you can check out this weekend at the Sioux Falls Convention Center and Arena.  Saturdays hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Admission is $7 for adults, $10 for a weekend pass, free for kids 12 and under.  Free seminars throughout the day include curb appeal essentials, remodeling trends and benefits of home inspections.  There will also be door prizes, giveaways and Home Show discounts. 
The Fairgrounds RV Sale features more than 100 motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers and fold downs under one roof in the the Expo Building of the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  Saturdays hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday's hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.   
It's Men's Quarterfinals action in the NSIC Basketball Tournament at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls.  Minnesota-Duluth takes on Northern State at noon.   Minot State plays Minnesota State at 2:30 p.m.  Augustana takes on SMSU at 5:30 p.m.  The University of Sioux Falls plays St. Cloud State at 8 p.m.    
The Sioux Falls Swim Team is hosting the South Dakota State B Championships at the Midco Aquatic Center.  Fifteen teams from across the state are competing starting at 9:15 a.m.  Admission is free.

Sioux Falls VA Medical Center chaplains are hosting a Last Roll Call Ceremony of Remembrance.  The evemt will honor deceased veterans in the front foyer of the medical center starting at 1:30 p.m.  Admission is free. 
You can discuss important South Dakota issues with Sioux Falls-area lawmakers during a Legislative Coffee at the downtown Holiday Inn City Centre.  The coffee begins at 10 a.m. and includes lawmakers from Districts 6, 11 & 12.  
The University of Sioux Falls Theatre Department presents Necessary Targets, a drama based upon women who survived the civil war in the former Yugoslavia.   The performance is at 7:30 p.m. in the Jeschke Fine Arts Center.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for students.

Dino-Roars has returned to the Delbridge Museum of Natural History at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.   Check out the 19 life-like dinosaurs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The cost is $3, plus a zoo admission.   Dino-Roars runs daily through April 15th. 
While you're at the zoo, enjoy story time and an animal encounter at the Bookworms Reading Program at 1 p.m. in the KELOLAND Education Center.
