Saturday Boredom Busters, February 17th

Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic is a trade show focusing on wildlife conservation, game bird hunting, dog training and habitat management.  Nearly 400 vendors are set-up this weekend at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the Sioux Falls Convention Center and Arena.  Saturdays hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday's hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, free for ages five and under.

See the best shooters in the world compete in the World Archery Indoor Championships in Yankton.  Teams from 32 countries are competing for medals at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center.  The championship rounds are Sunday and Monday. 

The Center for Western Studies is hosting the Artists of the Plains Art Show & Sale.  More than two-dozen regional artists are exhibiting their work at the Hilton Garden inn in downtown Sioux Falls.  Saturdays hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Sunday's hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Admission is free.

Sea & Sky Saturday at the Butterfly House & Aquarium is Going Green.  You're invited to take part in activities and art projects to discover how to protect our oceans and rainforests, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for youth.  The Butterfly House & Aquarium is located in Sertoma Park at 53rd & Oxbow in Sioux Falls.

Dino-Roars has returned to the Delbridge Museum of Natural History at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.  See the Great Room transformed into a prehistoric jungle, home to 19 life-like dinosaurs.  Today's hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The cost is $3, plus a zoo admission.  

While you're at the zoo, enjoy storytime and an animal encounter at the Bookworms Reading Program at 1 p.m. in the KELOLAND Education Center.  
Country singer John Michael Montgomery performs a Valentines for Veterans Concert at the Washington Pavilion.  The performance is at 3 p.m.  Before the concert, veterans and their families are invited to a Veterans Benefit Fair from 1 to 2:45 p.m.   
The Sno Jam Comedy Festival features several comedians from around the country performing in Sioux Falls.  The shows are at 7 p.m. at Boss' Comedy Club and 9:30 p.m. at Fernson on 8th.  Proceeds benefit Special Olympics of South Dakota.

The Summit League Swimming & Diving Championships wrap-up today at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls.  The swimming prelims are at 10 a.m.   The diving prelims are at 2:30 p.m. followed by the diving finals at 5 p.m.  The swimming finals start at 7 p.m.
