Saturday Boredom Busters, April 28th

There are still plenty of deals to be found during the final day of the Kingswood Rummage Sales.  South Dakota's largest organized rummage sale is taking place in the Kingswood neighborhood in southwest Sioux Falls, off of west 41st Street.  Some 350 homes are hosting sales.

Calvary Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Sioux Falls is hosting a Rummage Sale from 8 a.m. to noon.  Items for sale include antiques, jewelry, books, clothes, dishes, furniture and decorations. Admission is free.  Calvary Cathedral is located at 500 S. Main.

Shopping For Hope is a shopping outing that raises money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.  The event goes from from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe and will include a silent auction and raffles.  Our Lady of Guadalupe is located at 1220 East 8th Street in Sioux Falls.
  
Henry's Run is a 5-K run and walk to raise awareness about child abuse prevention.  Henry's Run starts at 10 a.m. at Falls Park.  It costs $30 to register.  Proceeds will benefit the Child Advocacy Centers of South Dakota and Child's Voice in Sioux Falls.  Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.

The Great American Bike Race is a stationary bike relay that raises money for the Children's Miracle Network.  The race goes from 8 a.m. to noon at the Sanford Wellness Center off Ellis Road.  Registration is $30-$40.  
  
St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls is hosting a Nordic Crafts Fair & Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  You'll find traditional hand-crafted items for sale, plus, watch the artisans demonstrate their techniques.  Admission is free.  St. Mark's Lutheran is located at 2001 S. Elmwood.

Enjoy storytime and an animal encounter during the Bookworms Reading Program at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls.  The program starts  at 1 p.m. in the KELOLAND Education Center.  
 
The Sioux Empire Kennel Club is hosting a Meet The Breeds gathering at the Old McDonald Farm building at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.  The free event goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes animal demostrations and local rescue groups will be on hand.  Since there will be a clubhouse full of dogs for you to meet, you're asked to leave your own pets at home.
  
The Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society is celebrating Jazz Appreciation Month by hosting Jazz Crawl.  Music will play from 6 to 11 p.m. at several Sioux Falls hot spots including Ode to Food & Drinks, M.B. Haskett, Bros Brasserie Americano, PAve, K Restaurant, Paramount Cocktails & Food, Fernson on 8th and WoodGrain Brewing Company.
