Saturday Boredom Busters

Sioux Falls, SD

     Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in downtown Sioux Falls.
     The fun gets underway with the painting of the shamrock at 11:45 am at 9th and Phillips.
     The 34th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 2 pm at 6th and Main.
     You need to purchase an official button for $3 to take part in the parade.
     The money goes to parade expenses and Special Olympics.

     Come out the the Sheraton Hotel in Sioux Falls for some shopping during the Spring Showcase.
     Locally handcrafted jewelry, purses, blankets, quilts, gift baskets and photography will be fore sale from 9 am to 5 pm.
     Admission is free.

     The Lawn & Garden Show is taking place at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
     Today's hours are from 9 am to 7 pm.
     Sunday's hours are 11 am to 5 pm.
     Admission is $7, free for kids 5 and under.

     The South Dakota Horse Fair features a trade show throughout the day, horse judging and a ranch rodeo in the evening.
     The gates open at 8 am at the Expo Building in the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
     Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids, free for kids 5 and under.

     Plum's Cooking Company is hosting a Shamrock Party for kids from 2-3:30 pm.
     Fizzy green punch and a hat of gold cheese and potato soup are on the menu.
     The cost is $12.
     Plum's Cooking Company is located at the 8th & Railroad Center in Sioux Falls.

     Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls is hosting its annual Easter for Kids.
     The free event invites children between the ages of 2-7 to hear the Easter story plus take part in crafts, music and a light lunch.
     Registration begins at 9:15 am.
     Parents are welcomed to stay, if they wish.
     Good Shepherd Lutheran is located at 57th and Southeastern.
