Robbery Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A man accused of trying to rob two Rapid City convenience stores at gunpoint in the same night has pleaded
not guilty.

Officials say that Robert White Plume Janis is charged with robbery and attempted robbery. He could face
more than 37 years in prison if convicted.

Janis allegedly robbed a Loaf-N-Jug and tried to rob a Corner Pantry on Jan. 13. Authorities say he was arrested five days laterafter a police chase in Nebraska.
