Staring Monday, the northwest corner sidewalk on 12th Street and Phillips Avenue along with the sidewalk in front of 329 South Phillips Avenue will be closed. Crews will be working on repairs and replacement. There will be a detour for pedestrians. Traffic on 12th and Phillips won’t be affected.
Repairs should be finished by Wednesday.
Also on Monday, crews will begin sanitary sewer repairs near Gary Drive to Point Drive and 18th Street to 24th Street. Traffic will be channeled around the construction when possible along with short term closures to through traffic.
The work is expected to last 4 weeks.
Monday also sees the closure of the left turn lane on 10th Street and Minnesota Avenue. Crews will be performing concrete repairs. Drivers can use the far left through lane to make a left turn. All other lanes will be unaffected.
The work should last two days.
Maple Road will be closed to through traffic starting Monday from North La Mesa Drive to North Marion Road. Crews will be reconstructing Maple Street from North Eagles Avenue to North Valley View Road.
The work includes grading, asphalt paving, water main, sanitary sewer and restoration. Maple Avenue will have an asphalt overlay from North Valley View to North Marion.
Traffic will be detoured along Tea/Ellis Road, 60th Street North and Marion Road.
Work is expected to be finished by August.
Crews will also get started on curb and gutter repairs along Silver Valley Drive from Larkspur Trail to Severn Lane on Monday. Silver Valley will remain open while the work is being done. Once crew finish with one side of the street, they will work on the other side.
The repairs are expected to last two weeks.
On Wednesday, the north leg of 41st Street and Sertoma Avenue will be closed. The intersection is being removed and reconstructed. Traffic will be detoured along Ellis Road, 57th Street and Sertoma Avenue. Local traffic using Sertoma between 41st Street and 26th Street will be detoured along 26th Street, Marion Road and 41st Street just east of the intersection
There will be detour signs along the route of 26th Street west of Sertoma and Ellis north of 41st Street. Traffic will be open along Sertoma Avenue from 26th Street to Roosevelt High School.
The work on the intersection will require a four week closure. Access to businesses will be maintained.
