A ticket sold in Rapid City is worth $10,000 in last Saturday's Powerball drawing.
South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball to win the game's third prize. The odds of doing so are one in about 649,000.
The ticket holder has about six months to claim the money.
Powerball is played in most states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot sits at $50 million for the next drawing, on Wednesday.
