Police Name Woman Killed In Salvation Army Crash

Sioux Falls, SD

Sioux Falls Police have released the name of the woman killed in a crash on Sunday.

Police say Angel Stevens, 43, of Sioux Falls died when she was hit by a van at a Salvation Army car show. 

47-year-old Lois Two Bulls is accused of being behind the wheel when she drove through a parking lot and across a street, hitting three pedestrians just before 6 p.m. Sunday.

Stevens was killed when she was pinned between the van and a tree.  13-year-old Skyler Burchardi has a broken pelvis, jaw and a concussion after being thrown into the building by the impact.  The third person who was hit walked away with only minor injuries.

Authorities say Two Bulls didn't have a license or insurance.  Her defense attorney says she has a seizure disorder and Two Bulls told police she doesn't remember the crash. 

Two Bulls is being held on a $50,000 bond. She has been charged with second degree manslaughter.

Two funds are set up to help the Stevens family.  A memorial account is established at all First Premier Banks in Sioux Falls; donations can be made to the "Angel Stevens Benefit Account."  A GoFundMe site is also accepting donations.
